CONCORD -- Thousands of students from around the region came out to the ZMax Dragway to see for themselves how working hard in school can lead to chasing their dreams.

NHRA and the United States Army held their annual Youth and Educational Services day in Concord.

Students were able to hear from business men and women, drag racers and even service men and women about how a strong education, especially in science, technology, engineering and math, helped them get where they are today.

"We're teaching all these students how important it is to find something that you love,” said Drag Racer Antron Brown. "If you love it, it's not work, it's something that you enjoy to do and you will go out there and get paid for it."

After hearing about different career opportunities, the students were able to watch some drag racing and check out the cars in the pits.
