CICERO, N.Y. -- The Onondaga County Sheriff's Department says speed was likely a factor in a crash that killed a motorcyclist early Sunday morning.
The biker was headed up Lake Shore Road in Cicero around 3:30 a.m. when he lost control.
He wound up being thrown from the motorcycle, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's name has not been released, but deputies says he was in his early 20s.
A section of Lakeshore Road had to be closed for several hours while deputies investigated the crash, but it has since reopened.
