NORTH CAROLINA -- Tickets for the N.C. Transportation Museum's 'The Polar Express' train ride are set to go on sale this week.
The train ride offers kids of all ages an hour and 15 minute round-trip journey to the North Pole, inspired by the children's classic "The Polar Express," by Chris Van Allsburg. Families are encouraged to wear pajamas for the ride.
Tickets go on sale for museum members on July 12 and 13 and for the general public on July 14. Tickets for children ages 3-12 are $30-$40 and for adults are $36-$46, depending on date and class of service.
The Polar Express Train Ride sold out in the last two years and is expected to do the same this year.
The train ride begins on Nov. 18 and runs through Dec. 22 on select dates.
