CHARLOTTE- Police arrested four people Monday for a string of car break-ins across the city.

Joshua Stewart, Darius Jamison, and Christie Dominics are facing a variety of charges for their involvement. Michelle Morales was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.

Detectives say the suspects found unlocked cars in a variety of neighborhoods and stole things left inside.  

Police recovered more than 40 stolen items from the car the suspects used in the break-ins, including laptops, tablets, checkbooks, and sunglasses.  They connected theitems to car break-ins on Spicewood Lane, McAlpine Glen Drive, Pergola Place, Dawnshire Circle, Barn Stone Drive, Pebblestone Drive, University Ridge, Pinstripe Lane and Mereview Court.

Officer laid out the belongings for victims to come pick up Monday.

Remekiah Alston's wallet was stolen from her car. Police returned it to her, but it was missing several credit cards and her ID.  Still, she says glad to get it back.

"I'm very thankful and grateful for that because I was just thinking, I don't know what I'm going to do," Alston said. "I have bills to pay and I can't pay them because my account is on hold."

Police believe there are more victims out there. If you have any information about other thefts or believe your car may have been broken into, you're asked to call police.
