NORTH CAROLINA - Upgrades announced earlier this year at DMV offices across the state are expanding.
Governor Pat McCrory's office says self-service kiosks at 10 DMV locations in cities like Greensboro, Charlotte and Raleigh will be up and running by the end of the week.
By early next month, another 43 DMV offices should begin accepting license and photo ID applications using new cameras and scanners designed to reduce wait time.
The governor says new cards are already being processed at 70 offices.
