CORNELIUS, N.C. -- More than a dozen high school students were blackmailed over the social media app Instagram.

Warrants say 16 girls from Hough High School were targeted when an Instagram user threatened to publish nude photos of them if they didn't send him more.

Two of the victims complied. Just one of the 16 reported it to police.

The warrants say the rest were afraid their parents would find out or they would be charged.

"I like to think I have a good relationship with my daughter if she would be exposed to anything like that. I would hope she would come to me no matter what," said parent Mike White.

CMS says no arrests have been made.
