NATIONWIDE- Chipotle is the first major restaurant chain to go GMO-free.
It means none of the ingredients will be genetically modified for its tortillas, rice, chips, salsa and also in the marinades used to cook meats.
All of Chipotle's restaurants are now using non-GMO corn, which goes into many ingredients.
The cooking oil has also been switched from soybean oil to GMO-free sunflower oil and rice bran oil.
In 2013, Chipotle was the first restaurant chain to reveal which menu items contained GMOs.
Its pork and chicken still come from animals that eat GMO-feed.
The beef comes from pasture-raised cattle.
