CHARLOTTE—Police have charged a Charlotte man with making five bomb treats in the past few months.
Authorities say Ammiel Harris was arrested Wednesday on Kingspark Drive.
The incidents go back to Feb. 9 when officers responded to a bomb threat at West Mecklenburg High School. This month, officers were called to the transit center in uptown, Central Piedmont Community College, a Bi-Lo store and Walmart in West Charlotte.
No suspicious devices were found in any of those situations. Harris is charged with five counts of making a false bomb report. He has a court date next week on a charge of misuse of 911.
