CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- South America meets South Carolina at The Roasting Company.
“Take those Costa Rican influences and add them to some of the Southern comfort foods,” general manager James Porter said. “We want to excite [customers] with new dishes that they don’t normally get in Rock Hill.”
The Roasting Company takes its name after the slow roasted rotisserie chicken on the menu.
“The chicken here is moist, it’s succulent, it has a really rich flavor,” Porter said.
Whole chickens, locally-harvested, marinated without fats or oils, roasted 90-minutes.
“We just want to get a nice crispy skin on the outside while maintaining all the juiciness on the inside,” Porter said.
