The Workman’s Friend brings the Irish pub experience to the heart of Plaza Midwood.

“We want to be a comfortable place, a warm place, with some genuine service, good food, good drinks,” The Workman’s Friend general manager Doug Dawson said. “If we can’t change the world outside, we want to just be the respite from it for a couple of hours while you’re here.”

With a setting straight out of the Emerald Isle, most of the interior decor on the walls and furniture throughout the pub is shipped in from Ireland.

Specialty: The Working Man’s Burger; 8 oz house ground of brisket and rib eye, with kerrygold cheddar and double-fried hand cut chips.
