Three Northern Kentucky cities are working to link the riverfront communities through a trail system, known as Riverfront Commons.

When completed, it will be an 11.5-mile trail connecting the cities of Ludlow, Covington, Newport, Bellevue, Dayton, and Fort Thomas along the Ohio River.

The Covington city commission voted earlier this year to approve more than $6.5 million dollars in work for a section on the riverfront. During this In Focus Kentucky segment, you will hear from the Russ Meyer, mayor of Covington who discusses more about this project.

Spectrum News 1’s Michael Cadigan also tells us about a billion dollar project that is looking to transform Northern Kentucky.
