BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Eckert’s Farm officially opens its Pick-Your-Own Strawberry fields on Friday, May 2, according to the orchard.

Strawberries will be available for $3.99 per pound, Eckert's lowest prices since 2020. The organization is also offering a variety of passes this year, including:

Pick-Your-Own Season Pass

For $20 online or $15 at the gate, you will be given field access to the Belleville and Grafton locations through the Pick-Your-Own seasons. Passholders will also receive early crop alerts, exclusive farm updates, and special savings on experiences.

Pick-Your-Own Strawberries will be available daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with field access passes starting at $3 on weekdays and $5 on weekends. Eckert’s is also introducing a new Strawberry Fun Pass for $15, which includes field access, one quart of strawberries, a cider donut, and a cup of sweet cider.

Strawberry Search

Eckert’s is also unveiling a new citywide scavenger hunt: “Strawberry Search STL.” Beginning Monday, May 5, top St. Louis destinations will each hide an envelope containing Eckert’s gift cards and free field access passes. The locations are listed below:

  • The Gateway Arch
  • St. Louis Science Center
  • City Foundry
  • Union Station
  • City Museum

Clues to each hidden prize will be shared on the Instagram pages of participating locations beginning that morning.

“We wanted to make this year extra special by rolling back our pricing and finding more ways to connect with the community, both on and off the farm,” said Chris Eckert, President of Eckert’s, in a press release. “Strawberry Search STL is a fun way to celebrate spring with families across the region, and we hope the lower price point invites even more people out to enjoy this beloved tradition.”

Strawberry Festival

The season also includes Eckert’s annual Strawberry Festival, happening over two weekends: May 10–11 and May 17–18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event features carnival rides, pony rides, a petting farm, live music, food vendors, and more. Entry to the festival is free; field access passes are required for picking. Guests can also enjoy other seasonal experiences including Eckert’s Cider Shed, Mr. E’s Donut & Custard Shop, and the Garden Center.
