ST. LOUIS – Due to deteriorating conditions of the pavement, a pavement repair on EB Interstate 255 heading into Illinois from south St. Louis County has been moved up to April 12, according to MoDOT.
Crews will close one right lane on eastbound Interstate 255 just east of the Mississippi River Crossing (the Jefferson Barracks Bridge) in Illinois Wednesday, April 12, starting at 3 a.m.
The lane is expected to reopen once the concrete reaches the appropriate strength, which is anticipated to be by Wednesday, April 12 at 1 p.m.
This work was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 15.
This will mean that during this time, only one eastbound lane on I-255 will remain open to traffic.
