ST. LOUIS — Pi Day is the annual celebration of the mathematical constant π, or 3.14, however, 314 has a special meaning to St. Louisans as the number serves as an area code to several communities in the area. 

March 14, on which Pi Day is celebrated, is around the corner and several events have been planned in the St. Louis area.

Customers can visit St. Louis area coffee shops from March 10-14 for their 314 Day themed promotions. There also will be giveaways and swag.

The participating coffee shops are Exit 11 Coffee (all locations), Goshen Coffee (Soulard location), Kaldi’s Coffee (all locations) and Northwest Coffee (all locations).te.re.

On Tuesday, March 14, Flamingo Bowl at both locations will have a 314 Day special with one game of bowling and a pair of shoes for $3.14 per person. 

To celebrate 314 Day on March 14, customers can purchase any regularly priced pizza and get a one-topping medium pizza for $3.14 using the promo code 314DAY.

In honor of Pi Day, Schnucks will offer a special on pie slices. When customers purchase two slices, they can get two more for $3.14. Offer runs from now through March 14.   

The St. Louis Cardinals will have a special ticket sale Tuesday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in honor of 314 Day.

For just $3.14, fans can buy tickets for any Monday through Thursday Cardinals game in April. Tickets are limited. Each customer will only be sold eight tickets per game.

Games include matchups with the Atlanta Braves from April 3-5, Pittsburgh Pirates on April 13, and Arizona Diamondbacks from April 17-19.

A free pizza party in honor of 314 Day will be held at PocketParks’ DUC Park Tuesday, March 14, from 5-7 p.m.

The DUC Park is located at 923 Locust Street. The event is sponsored by the Downtown Community Improvement District.
