HAZELWOOD, Mo. — A FEMA disaster recovery center will open Monday, Aug. 15, for five days at the Hazelwood Civic Center.

At the center, those affected by the July 25-28 flooding can receive one-on-one help with getting information on services, assistance programs and how to get grant money for rental help, damaged personal property, lodging reimbursement, basic home repairs and more, according to a press release.

FEMA recovery specialists and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be there to provide information and help those complete or check the status of their applications.

Before going to the center, people can apply for FEMA assistance online or by calling 800-621-3362.

Hours of operation are Monday from 2-7 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

After five days, the disaster recovery center will relocate and a new location will be announced soon, the press release states.
