HONOLULU — Charter Communications is assisting the Maui community in response to the loss of connectivity due to the Maui wildfires by providing over 8,000 Spectrum Out-of-Home Wi-Fi access points across the state, according to a release.

Charter has also made free unlimited Spectrum Wi-Fi accessible to the public at War Memorial Gymnasium and Stadium, Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center and Iron Maehara Stadium.

Spectrum Wi-Fi access points are also widely available in public parks, marinas, city streets and other public areas.

Essential government employees, first responders, health care workers, essential businesses and displaced residents are ensured online connectivity by accessing Charter’s Wi-Fi network. View a map of available access points on the Spectrum Out-of-Home Wi-Fi website.

How to connect:

  • Enable Wi-Fi under device settings when near an access point broadcasting “Spectrum Free Trial”
  • Select “Spectrum Free Trial”
  • The browser will open automatically
  • Agree to Terms & Conditions and click “Agree & Connect”

If you have a Spectrum mobile device or a Spectrum Wi-Fi profile on any device, it will automatically connect without any action required.
