Kirby Yates is on the move coming off his stellar season in Arlington, Texas.

Yates, a 37-year-old Kauai native, has agreed to a one-year, $13 million deal to pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers, MLB.com reported on Tuesday, though the club had not confirmed the signing as of late Tuesday night Hawaii time.

Yates enjoyed one of the best seasons of his 10-year MLB career in his first season with the Texas Rangers, posting a 1.17 earned-run average in 61 appearances and being named an All-Star for the second time.

Now the right-hander joins a stacked Dodgers bullpen as the defending World Series champions have looked to improve. It is the second straight year that Yates has joined a franchise coming off a World Series victory, and third time in the last four years; he joined Atlanta in 2022 after the Braves won the 2021 title.

He can earn as much as $1 million in additional money by making 55 appearances, MLB.com reported.
