The Pacific West Conference has launched a paid digital service for live streams of its sporting events.

The NCAA Division II conference, of which Hawaii Hilo, Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific are members, debuted the PacWest Network in partnership with Hudl, starting with this weekend’s season-opening women’s volleyball matches for the Silverswords and Sharks.

Games may be viewed on the web at PacWestNetwork.tv, or mobile devices and smart TVs. The latter two require a download of the PacWest app.

All 14 conference members are participating and will set their own price point for individual matches and season passes.

Chaminade, for example, will charge $15 per women’s volleyball home match and $120 for all home matches of the 2024 season, according to a school spokesperson. The Silverswords beat Alaska Anchorage in straight sets Thursday in their first appearance on the service. HPU hosts Hilo in its first game of the year at the Shark Tank on Friday.

A school's season pass counts only for its home contests, even if an away match is played at a fellow PacWest institution.

"The conference network is a great step towards elevating the PacWest’s visibility while enhancing revenue for our members," PacWest Commissioner Jessica Harbison Weaver said in a PacWest news release. "I’m excited about the opportunity this new platform creates to highlight the outstanding student-athletes, coaches, and communities who represent each of our members.”
