Two more Hawaii prep football standouts gained invitations to the 2025 Under Armour Next All-America Game after competing in a recent camp on Maui.

Rising seniors Abel Hoopii of Farrington High (formerly of Kahuku) and Isaiah Iosefa of Waipahu High were given the nod for the all-star game following the 2024 Under Armour Next Football Camp Series at King Kekaulike High in Makawao over the weekend. They joined Houston Kaahaaina-Torres of Saint Louis School, an offensive lineman who participated in the camp after previously committing to the Under-Armour game.

Up to 300 players from Hawaii and beyond participated at the Saturday camp to measure their prowess in a series of head-to-head drills at their positions.

Hoopii, who committed to Southern Methodist on Monday, was named Offensive Line MVP of the camp. Other local players to be recognized were: Saint Louis’ Pupu Sepulona as the Defensive Line MVP; Saint Louis’ Roy Maafala Jr. as Linebacker MVP; Kapaa High’s Evan Daligdig as Quarterback MVP; Campbell High’s Rusten Abang-Perez as one of two Wide Receiver MVPs; and Campbell’s Tainoa Lave and Saint Louis’ Zanden Willis as Defensive Back MVPs.

Iosefa is a linebacker committed to Arizona State and Kaahaaina-Torres is committed to Nebraska.

Saturday’s camp was the last of 14 across the country. The Under Armour Next All-America game notes alumni such as Jameis Winston and Kyler Murray in its 15-year history. It is traditionally held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.
