Restaurateur Tina Wang — the brainchild behind Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya and MangoMango Dessert Hawaii — has set her sights on creating a modern twist on traditional Chinese dumplings at her newest endeavor, Dumpling Factory.

Located at 755 Kapahulu Avenue #1 in the Wong Leong Building next to Pai Café, the restaurant will have its grand opening on March 5.

Known for fusing creative modern flair with authentic fare, Wang highlights Chinese dumplings in signature dishes such as Braised Housemade Pork Belly, Beef & Green Pepper Dumplings, Chicken & Shiitake Mushroom Dumplings, Shrimp Dumplings and Spicy Sour Soup Dumplings with Thin Noodles.

“Dumplings have a way of bringing people together, and with Dumpling Factory, we’re honoring that tradition while adding our own special touches,” said Wang in a release. “We’re excited to share our dishes, which are crafted with care and made to be enjoyed with friends and family.”

The menu also features Spicy Sour Soup Dumplings with Thin Noodles, Housemade Braised Pork Belly Over Rice and savory Braised Beef Wrap. Appetizers including Shredded Potato with Chili Oil, Housemade Cucumber Salad and Wood Ear Mushroom Salad offer a refreshing contrast to the rich, bold flavors of the main dishes.
