Students at the University of Hawaii Community Colleges are encouraged to start planning early for summer studies now that courses will be offered at reduced tuition rates.
Summer tuition will match fall and spring semesters at just $131 per credit for Hawaii residents allowing students to save money, graduate faster and explore different interests while staying on track academically, according to a news release.
“With reduced tuition rates, students have the perfect opportunity to get ahead, balance their regular semester workloads, or even try something new — at a fraction of the cost,” said Della Teraoka, interim vice president of UH Community Colleges, in the release.
Summer course schedules for UH Community Colleges will be ready in March; registration will open in April. Officials encourage students to plan ahead and register early since classes tend to fill up quickly.
Students are encouraged to accelerate their academic progress by taking classes during the summer that can lighten their course loads during the regular semesters and open up new areas of interest affordably.
