The University of Hawaii-West Oahu will be holding its 2024 Mid-Year Commencement at 9 a.m. on Sat., Dec. 14 on the campus’ lower courtyard.
This semester, roughly 250 students are candidates for graduation, according to the school, and of these, nearly 150 will participate in the commencement ceremony representing the fields of applied science, business administration, creative media, cybersecurity, education, humanities, natural science, public administration and social sciences, and will also include candidates for UH West Oahu certificates.
Two student speakers — Travis Antonacci (humanities/history) and Jared Kāʻeo McCann (cybersecurity/cyber operations) — will share stories about their respective collegiate journeys.
Ticketed guests are invited to attend the ceremony and non-ticketed guests are welcome to give lei to the graduates after the ceremony at the Great Lawn.
There may be increased traffic surrounding the campus as attendees and graduates arrive between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Vehicles must have a commencement parking pass to park on campus. Guests are advised not to park in the Keone‘ae Skyline Rail Station Park and Ride parking lot or along Farrington Highway or Kualakai Parkway.
