Get to know and support Kaimuki businesses while enjoying lots of activities, food, entertainment and fun at this Saturday’s Keep it Kaimuki from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year more than 30 businesses are participating in the free family- and pet-friendly event, offering exclusive discounts ranging from 10% to 20% off and other promotions.
Aliiolani Elementary School will be at the center of the event hosting an outdoor market with over 30 local food and retail vendors; free activities including a petting zoo and “larger-than-life” snow globe photo opportunity; live entertainment from community and keiki groups; and free gift wrapping courtesy of Yelp Hawaii.
There will also be a free bike valet service at the school, plus free self-parking at Sacred Hearts Academy and complimentary trolley rides throughout Kaimuki from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“As a small business owner myself, it warms my heart to see the outpouring of support we receive from our local community — both from shoppers and small businesses — for Keep it Kaimuki Saturday year after year,” said Jordan Lee, owner of The Public Pet and founder of Keep it Kaimuki, in a release.
“Keep it Kaimuki Saturday is our signature event and we are so proud to see how this event has grown and the excitement that everyone has to jump start their holiday shopping and enjoy time with their ʻohana, all while supporting our local small business community,” Lee said.
There will also be a virtual Christmas tree lighting and concert at Puʻu O Kaimuki Mini Park on the same day at 6 p.m. to sundown. People can view the event online via Keep it Kaimuki’s Instagram Live.
