Many people in Hawaii can’t put food on the table during the holidays. The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division is filling that gap by distributing Thanksgiving meals on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Hawaii Island, and Guam throughout November and December.
Additionally, the nonprofit will partner with Foodland for “Share a Holiday Feast,” Anna Miller’s and Zippy’s for “Buy a Pie” and others, providing the community with several ways to both give and receive. During November and December, anyone can share a holiday meal via Foodland by donating in-store at check-out, via online grocery delivery, or at the curbside pickup services. The Salvation Army will distribute these donations to families on the islands in which donations were made, helping families in need to make a memorable holiday meal. Customers at Anna Miller’s Restaurant and Zippy’s Oahu locations can purchase pies now through Nov. 22 to be served at local Thanksgiving events.
