HONOLULU — Emergency repair work on a damaged storm drain line along Cooke and Pohukaina streets will require lane closures starting Sept. 16, according to the City and County of Honolulu Department of Design and Construction.

Work will continue for three weeks, pending weather conditions, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays.

One lane in each direction will remain open throughout the work area.

Street parking will be prohibited temporarily near the project site on Cooke and Pohukaina streets during work hours. DDC asks the public to observe the dates and times posted on “No Parking” signs; any vehicles parked in those areas will be towed at the owner’s expense.

The public is asked to observe and obey all traffic controls, posted signs and special duty officers and to expect delays if driving in the area.
