To celebrate its launch, the public is invited to Honolulu Cookie Company’s Hyatt Regency Waikiki location from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, for a meet and greet with Carissa Moore and Harper Okamoto, designer of the Moore Aloha Surfboard Tin.

Customers who purchase a tin can have it signed by Moore and Okamoto. Exclusive limited-edition tote bags will also be available while supplies last.

For every Moore Aloha Surfboard Tin and decal sold, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Moore Aloha Foundation and UH West Oahu’s Creative Media program.

Customers can also enter for a chance to win a surfboard that reflects the design of the tin — one entry per person, no purchase necessary.

UH West Oahu’s creative program students competed to experience product development firsthand and showcase the skills they’ve learned in the program.

Harper Okamoto, the winning designer of the Moore Aloha Surfboard Tin, created a fun, bright design inspired by the foundation and Honolulu Cookie’s mission to share the aloha spirit.

“I was inspired by the bright colors that are associated with Carissa’s brand and I wanted to incorporate some of those because they are so fun and friendly,” shares Okamoto in a release. “For Honolulu Cookie Company, I used simple shapes to represent their message to warmly welcome anyone that comes to the islands and buys their product. I wanted to use something that gave the impression of the aloha spirit, but in a way that would get the message across to anyone even if they don’t speak the languages here.”

Moore, founder of Moore Aloha, said, “This collaboration highlights the common goals that Moore Aloha and Honolulu Cookie Company share. We’re excited to partner with a local business that everyone knows and loves, while providing unforgettable opportunities for the next generation to experience.”

The new products are available in stores and online alongside Honolulu Cookie’s 2024 Fall Collection items.

Hyatt Regency Waikiki is located at 2424 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu; the Honolulu Cookie Company store is in Suite 106. For additional store locations, visit the Honolulu Cookie Company website.
