HONOLULU — Though we may soon be bidding mahalo to the long, carefree days of summer, restaurants are still offering patrons savory dishes and beverages well suited for the heat and humidity.

In celebration of National Filet Mignon Day, Black Angus Steakhouse offers a filet mignon special for a limited time only, August 13 through August 15, while International Market Place celebrates Mixology Month through the end of August. Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya and Restaurant Suntory feature their specials until the end of September.

Four locations at Ala Moana Center, Pearlridge Center, Town Center of Mililani, Kapolei Shopping Center

“Who said you can’t enjoy ramen in the summer? We’re excited to spice up summer with our new seasonal dishes and Sapporo special to help diners keep cool,” said Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya Owner Tina Wang in a release. “Our summer menu is all about refreshing, bold flavors that are perfect for Hawaii’s hot, humid weather. We’re also excited to expand our popular fried rice dishes to our Ala Moana and Pearlridge locations, allowing even more diners to enjoy these favorites.”

This popular eatery is offering up seasonal summer dishes – Summer Special Hiyashi and Crispy Ebi Cakes – in addition to a $4 summer special on Sapporo draft beers through the end of September at the Ala Moana Center, Pearlridge Center and Town Center of Mililani locations.

Customers can cool off with the Summer Special Hiyashi – zesty tsuyu broth and house-made shoyu pork chashu served with thick Japanese noodles topped with chili oil, seasoned egg, green onions and seasoned menma (bamboo shoot).
