HONOLULU — In collaboration with The Center for Water Security and Cooperation, the Board of Water Supply asks customers to take part in a water access and affordability questionnaire that communities across the nation are also being asked to fill out.

The voluntary questionnaire available online or as a hard copy takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete and is open to the public through Sept. 15. The form is also available at community events and at satellite city halls.

Information from the questionnaire will help BWS determine where support is needed.

BWS Manager and Chief Engineer Ernest Lau says strong customer participation will help the agency continue to work towards its brand mission of providing safe, dependable and affordable water supply for Oahu, now and in the future.

“Ola I Ka Wai–water is life, and everyone needs it to survive,” said Lau in a release. “We want to hear from you. The BWS continues to stand behind every person and support those in need. Your input will help us implement programs that are meant to better help our island’s communities, especially our most vulnerable residents, including our kupuna. Mahalo for taking time to give your honest feedback.”

The public can contact BWS Public Information Officer Kathleen Pahinui at 808-748-5319 with questions or for more information.
