UPDATE: Runway at Kahului Airport has reopened

KAHULUI, Hawaii — The Hawaii Department of Transportation said that Runway 2/20 at Kahului Aiport has re-opened.

One mainland flight was diverted to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu.

Runway 2/20 at Kahului Airport is temporarily closed, according to a news release from the Hawaii Department of Transportation.
