SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii — The U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii announced Army units will be conducting routine training exercises throughout February that could disturb surrounding communities.

Training schedule:

  • Feb. 1-16: East Range, ranger and jungle tactics, small arms blank fire, 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Feb. 1-18: Multipurpose Range Complex live fire on Schofield Barracks (includes artillery and mortars), 6 a.m.-midnight
  • Feb. 5-9: East Range aviation training in support of a medical exercise, midnight-9 p.m.
  • Feb. 6-8: Artillery and mortar live fire on Schofield Barracks, 6 a.m.-11:59 p.m.
  • Feb. 8: East Range aviation training: medical evacuation, 4-7 p.m.
  • Feb. 13: East Range aviation training: air assault mission, 7-9 a.m.
  • Feb. 14-15: Artillery and mortar live fire on Schofield Barracks, 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Feb. 15: East Range aviation training: medical evacuation, 8 a.m.-noon
  • Feb. 26-29: Artillery and mortar live fire on Schofield Barracks, 1 a.m.-11:59 p.m.

Training can occur at any time and is subject to change. Overcast conditions and southerly winds can increase noise and vibrations. There is no immediate danger should residents hear noise from the trainings.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems training occurs 24/7 on Wheeler Army Airfield and in restricted space over Schofield Barracks and a northwestern section of the Waianae mountain range.
