MAUNAKEA, Hawaii — While most of the state of Hawaii is experiencing wet and cold weather, on Mauna Kea it's below freezing, creating a light dusting of snow. 

Hawaii Island's summit reaches into the sky at 13,500 feet above sea level and it snows there a few times each year.
