HONOLULU — Rockin' around the Christmas tree.
Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi and City and County of Honolulu crews are coordinating efforts to harvest and transport a 55-foot Cook Pine tree on Monday to Honolulu Hale.
The tree will be harvested from the North Shore Stables at 67-221 Waialua Beach Road.
During the month of December, the tree will be the centerpiece for the 39th Honolulu City Lights holiday celebration at the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center.
Honolulu City Lights starts on Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. with a block party. The tree lighting ceremony at Honolulu Hale will start at 6 p.m.
