The University of Hawaii Red Hill Task Force created a website where all information regarding the Red Hill water contamination crisis may be found, according to a news release.

The Red Hill Information Hub gathers information from the Hawaii Department of Health, the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. It also includes a newsfeed, upcoming public meetings and events, and educational resources. Because of the amount of the information on the website, the UH Red Hill Task Force recommends viewing it on a desktop.

“I think it’s important to know that this hub is really primarily built to help the public, and that it is a work in progress and we are looking for public feedback to continue to improve,” said Lisa Webster, a lead developer with the Red Hill Information Hub.

The UH Red Hill Task Force operated out of the UH Manoa Water Resources Research Center, and the creation of the website was led by Lisa Webster and Cuong Tran. UH faculty, staff and students from UH Manoa and Leeward Community College contributed, along with independent scientists and community members. The National Disaster Preparedness Training Center supported UH’s efforts.
