LAHAINA, Hawaii — Spectrum News journalist Michael Tsai on Wednesday spoke with Lahaina resident Pa‘ele Kiakona, 28, about riding into the fires to warn his grandmother to get out of her house.
The house, which had been in the family for generations, is now gone, but she is safe.
