HONOLULU — With Artificial Intelligence quickly becoming omnipresent, educators are thinking about how AI-powered tools may help students.

With this in mind, Mid-Pacific Institute’s Kupu Hou Academy, which helps teachers create more rigorous academic experiences, is hosting an online workshop for educators from across the state to learn how to integrate AI into their teaching practices, according to a news release.

Through a cohort model, teachers attending the workshop will design lessons and student projects that incorporate AI. By the end of the program, educators will have developed AI-driven projects ready for implementation in the upcoming school year.

The PADDLE AI-Powered Deeper Learning 2023 workshop is scheduled to run July 17 through July 20 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Registration is limited to 50 educators from public, charter and private schools. Interested individuals can register online. The registration fee is $600.

For Department of Education teachers, the workshop provides three credits for professional development (PDE3).
