HONOLULU — Disney fans of all ages in Hawaii will have a chance to appear in a new feature film.
In preparation for the upcoming live-acting Disney film "Moana" with Dwayne Johnson reprising his role as Maui, an open casting call has been announced in Hawaii.
Alessi Hartigan Casting is looking to find 300 local background performers and extras to cast the entire village of Motonui.
All roles are paying roles, and filming will occur sometime during the fall over a one- to two-month period.
The open casting call will occur on the following two days:
- July 15 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Honolulu at the Susannah Wesley Community Center
- July 16 between noon and 4 p.m. in Haleiwa (North Shore) at Waialua Community Association
The casting company is looking for a wide range of talents, ages and backgrounds and says it would love to get the community involved.
