HONOLULU — Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction informs weekday commuters of storm drain maintenance work that will disrupt motorists utilizing Pensacola St. near Kapiolani Blvd. Work begins Mon. June 26 with construction hours starting at 8:30 a.m. and lasting till 3:30 p.m.
The work will necessitate single-lane traffic closures and will cause parking disruptions along parts of Pensacola St. Maintenance work is expected to be completed by the end of July.
Pensacola St. and Kapiolani Blvd. will remain open to motorists throughout the project. Officials ask drivers to observe the dates and times of “No Parking” notices as vehicles parked on posted streets will be towed at the owner’s expense. Also, pay attention to traffic control devices, posted signs and special duty police officers.
Allow for extra travel time through the area.
