HONOLULU — Mayor Rick Blangiardi and the City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services unveiled the official name for the island's rail system: Skyline.
The first segment of Skyline, which connects East Kapolei with to Aloha Stadium, is slated to open to passengers on June 30.
Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation officially transferred 10.75 miles of the rail guideway, along with its nine stations, 12 trains and the Rail Operations Center to the DTS on June 9.
