HILO, Hawaii — Hawaii County’s Department of Water Supply reports the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates well in Ocean View, Kau is offline for repairs as emergency crews troubleshoot the situation.
As a result, DWS has issued the following guidelines:
- Drinking water spigots will remain open for community access, but users are asked to limit consumption to potable needs only. This will help to extend water availability remaining in the reservoir.
- The standpipe facility for water haulers is closed until repairs are completed.
