HILO, Hawaii — Hawaii County’s Department of Public Works Highways-Maintenance Division will begin resurfacing work on Kinoole St. from Wailuku Dr. to Mohouli St. in Hilo starting 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mon., Feb. 13, weather permitting.
DPW asks the public to refrain from parking on the roadside during the project. Hawaii police officers will be onsite directing traffic as one lane will be closed during the day.
DPW anticipates the following work schedule:
- Feb. 13-14: Wailuku Dr. to Waianuenue Ave.
- Feb. 15-16: Waianuenue Ave. to Haili St.
- Feb. 17 and 21: Haili St. to Mamo St.
- Feb. 22-23: Mamo St. to Ponohawai St.
- Feb. 24 and 27: Ponohawai St. to Hualalai St.
- Feb. 28-March 1: Hualalai St. to Wailoa St.
- March 2-3: Wailoa St. to Mohouli St.
