County of Hawaii Mass Transit Agency employees and its contractors will undergo Americans With Disabilities Act training on Jan. 22 to ensure compliance with ADA and U.S. Department of Justice requirements. As a result, Hele-On will not operate bus and paratransit services on that day.
The training will take place every year for the next three years.
Riders are urged to find alternative transportation on Jan. 22 via taxis, Lyft or Uber. Visit the Hele-On website for a list of taxi operators throughout the county.
Regular bus service will resume at 3:15 a.m. on Jan. 23.
For information and questions, contact Hele-On at 808-961-8744 (TDD: 711), email heleonbus@hawaiicounty.gov or visit the Hele-On website.
