HONOLULU — The Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation will offer up to 900 recreation, education and social opportunities at city parks and gardens through its 2023 spring program. Registration is set to begin based on districts with the earliest starting Jan. 17.

The public can view the catalog of park programs online at the Parks and Recreation Online System website. Activities for all ages range from archery to aerobics, music lessons to mahjong, and swimming to sewing, and run from January through April.

For classes at Oahu’s botanical gardens, view the online catalog at the Honolulu Botanical Gardens website. Registration begins on Monday, Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. at the PROS website (click on “Activities”). Most of the enrollment for free and paid park programs will be via the same website.

Registration for classes at specific park districts will begin at 4 p.m. on the dates indicated:

  • District 1, Ka Iwi to Waikiki, 808-768-8944 - Jan. 17
  • District 3, Waipahu to Makaha, 808-768-6889 - Jan. 18
  • District 4, Mokuleia to Makapuu, 808-768-8980 - Jan. 19
  • District 5, Pearl City to Whitmore, 808-768-6940 - Jan. 20
  • District 2, Makiki to Aiea, 808-768-9292 - Jan. 23

If you cannot access the website, call the appropriate park to request in-person registration. Cash and check will be accepted for in-person registration. Only Visa and MasterCard credit/debit cards are accepted for online payments.
