Piilani Highway on Maui was closed at mile marker 31 in the area of Nu‘u landing because of a rock slide, according to a news release. 

The road was covered with rock and debris. However, 4x4 vehicles were still allowed on the road. 

The road reopened at 11:55 a.m. on Friday.
