LIHUE, Hawaii — Kauai’s Department of Motor Vehicles will close at 10 a.m. on Nov. 17 for staff training for the DMV integration project, according to a news release. Regular hours will resume Nov. 18.

The DMV will still accommodate Kupuna Hour (for 65 years and older), 8-8:45 a.m., on Nov. 17. All appointments between 8:45 and 10 a.m. are currently full and any walk-in customers will likely be turned away.

The DMV integration project will combine the Drivers Licensing and Motor Vehicle Registration divisions into one full-service DMV.

The DMV is regularly open Monday to Friday, except for state and federal holidays. To make an appointment or for information on DMV services, visit the DMV website.
