HONOLULU — Santa Claus is coming to town.

The City and County of Honolulu will install a 55-foot Cook Pine tree at Honolulu Hale on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

During the month of December, the tree will be the centerpiece for the 38th Honolulu City Lights holiday celebration at the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center.

This is the first year since the pandemic started that Honolulu City Lights will be back in full. This will include a block party, the famous tree lighting ceremony, a parade, Santa’s Village, the wreath contest and photo opps.

Honolulu City Lights starts on Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m. with the tree lighting ceremony at Honolulu Hale.
