HEEIA, Hawaii — The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction advises the public of upcoming work to Heeia Stream Bridge required to install new street lights that will increase visibility at night along that stretch of Kamehameha Highway.

Crews will begin work on Oct. 24, making modifications to the bridge and installing street lights during the 10-week project. Construction will require single-lane closures of Kamehameha Hwy. during work hours, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except for holidays.

The road will remain open during construction. Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and follow the instructions of traffic flaggers and/or uniformed Honolulu Police Department officers directing traffic.
