PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii — The Kauai Police Department have located "Days of our Lives" actor James Lastovic and his roommate, Nevin Dizdari. They were found at the Sugi Grove Campground in Kokee State Park, 8 a.m. Oct. 11.

The Kauai police report indicated the pair was last seen at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 9 after relaying to a friend they were going to hike in Kokee State Park. At 2 p.m. the same day, they had asked for directions to Shipwreck Beach in Poipu. As shared by the actor’s mother, Lucienne Lastovic, via an Instagram post, the couple didn’t return to their hotel room and missed their 2:30 p.m. flight to Los Angeles on Oct. 10.

The search for the pair began on Oct. 10 after they missed their flight.

When contacted Tuesday morning, the Kauai Police Department public information officer told Spectrum News Hawaii the pair had contacted family members and the police were awaiting confirmation. “Their vehicle was seen driving out of Kokee State Park, so I’m assuming they don’t have any phone reception yet, but we’re waiting for confirmation. It’s assumed they’re safe … we’re just waiting for confirmation to physically speak with them.”

On Oct. 10, the mother of the soap opera actor posted a call for help via Instagram stating that her son and his roommate, Nevin Dizdari, had gone missing on Kauai while on vacation.

The pair had been staying at the Hanalei Bay Resort over three days, Oct. 7-9, and were due to fly back to their home on Oct. 10, but according to mother Lucienne, they didn’t return their rental car or make the flight back.

Prior to their disappearance, the pair had asked for information about the “long trail hike” at Kokee State Park and Shipwreck Beach in Poipu.

According to Lucienne, she said their last communication to anyone was at 1:30 p.m. HST Sun. Oct. 9 when they texted their hostess, Carrie Flanders, at the Hanalei Bay Resort. They apparently went missing that day as they did not return to the resort and their belongings had been left in the room, which are now with Kauai police.

The couple had rented a black Nissan Sentra with license plate KEX 072. Lucienne said there is a GPS on the vehicle.
