It will soon become cheaper to go to the movies at one Hawaii cinema.

Consolidated Theatres is marking the first anniversary of its renovated Kapolei location with what it calls “the best ticket prices in Hawaii.”

Starting Thursday, March 2, with the premiere of the movie, “Creed III,” prices for tickets will be $8 for traditional seats and $10 for luxury recliners. The deal applies to all shows, all day, all year long.

“With its rich history as Kapolei’s first movie theatre, this special space has always been about bringing family and friends together,” said Consolidated Theatres Marketing and Events Manager, Kyler Kokubun, in a release.

Consolidated Theatres operates almost 100 movie screens across the state, with cinemas on Maui and Oahu. The Kapolei location first opened in 1995, but it underwent an extensive 18-month renovation and reopened in March 2022.

“It’s only fitting that as we celebrate one year since its beautiful reimagining to better serve the community for the years to come that we recognize our guests, and make this a premiere destination for great value, food, company and cinema,” Kokubun said.

The Kapolei location features a chef-crafted menu with some exclusive offerings, including house-made spam musubi, saimin and the “Big Kahuna Dog” topped with kalua pork.

Tickets can be purchased on the website or on the movie theater’s app.

For moviegoers looking for an even better deal, the location will continue its Tuesday Mahalo Days, which offer movie tickets for $5 for all seats.
