Hawaii has reported 498 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 232,008, according to the Hawaii Department of Health.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the statewide death toll at 1,262.

The bulk of the cases were reported on Oahu, with 228. Kauai is next with 101, followed by Hawaii Island with 86, Maui with 63, Lanai with three and Molokai with two.

There were 15 cases from out-of-state visitors.

The statewide vaccination rate stands at 75.5%, with 1,073,605 residents fully vaccinated. Honolulu County reported the highest vaccination rate among its residents at 79%. Kauai County follows with 71% fully vaccinated, Maui County is at 69% and Hawaii County at 67%.

The DOH reports that 524,464 boosters have been administered.
