HONOLULU — Hawaii has reported 533 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 227,817, according to the Hawaii Department of Health.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the statewide death toll at 1,226.

The bulk of the cases were reported on Oahu, with 357. Hawaii Island is next with 72, followed by Maui with 52, Kauai with 38, Lanai with two, and Molokai had none.

There were 12 cases from out-of-state visitors.

The statewide vaccination rate stands at 75.2%, with 1,069,741 residents fully vaccinated. Honolulu County reported the highest vaccination rate among its residents at 78%. Kauai County follows with 71% fully vaccinated, Maui County at 68% and Hawaii County at 67%. 

The DOH reports that 515,009 boosters have been administered.
